Badly Drawn Boy to Visit U.S.

British songsmith to feed America's fish

Posted Aug 23, 2002 12:00 AM

Badly Drawn Boy will tour America this fall in between European runs, with U.S. shows beginning on October 17th in Washington, D.C., and ending November 8th in Los Angeles, California.

The British rocker -- a.k.a. Damon Gough -- will support his new album, Have You Fed The Fish?, due October 22nd. "I like to think it's a hybrid of the naivete of [his Mercury Award-winning 2000 debut] The Hour of Bewilderbeast and the slightly more sophisticated and perhaps cleaner kind of thing from the soundtrack About A Boy," Gough recently said. "It's much rawer than the soundtrack, it's more raw and honest and personal. More electric guitar, lots of piano -- it's as eclectic as anything I've ever done."
