Your Turn

The only four songs that are worth listening to are the four singles in this album. "Incomplete" is probably their best song. In my opinion, the Backstreet Boys are trying to adapt to a pop rock environment (being a popular demand these days) by using more musical instruments. This "Never Gone" album sounds too much like an experimental album than one that the Backstreet boys are capable of creating.

Unfortunately, I agree with the professional critic, which never happens. The fact of the matter is, the Boys created a lack luster album. I've been a fan of the Boys since '97 and I must admit that I'm disappointed. The album is OK. They tried, just not hard enough. Incomplete is undoubtedly the best track. I like it. I don't love it. I like it. Just Want You To Know is not believable as a Backstreet Boys song. When did they go metal? The title track, Never Gone, is sweet. Too many of the songs sound alike and they went too far rock to be believable. Adult Contemporary works for them, but...this just wasn't enough. I used to fall in love with a Backstreet album. That fire's gone. I listen to the old albums more than I do the new one. Let's just hope the next Backstreet album is, at least, a little better than this.
