(LOS ANGELES) - A U.S. District Court judge has dismissed lawsuits brought by toymaker Mattel Inc. and MCA Records Inc. regarding the song "Barbie Girl." Mattel's lawsuit against MCA claimed trademark infringement of the doll parodied in the Aqua song; MCA's countersuit asserted that Mattel made false and defamatory statements about the label.
