This is an album comming from an era with a poor to non existing mainstream. Due to this people tend to flock to bands like the animal collective for guideance through the 2000's, the scarry decade in music that it is. This is an album that will stand the test of time but predecesors and copycats alike will be quickly forgotten. Call it college music call it what you will, but the music college kids identify with is what really stands the test of time. Look at the talking heads for example. This is a great album a quick listen, and worth the time.
