Janis Ian will be releasing her Windham Hill Records debut Sept. 30 called Hunger. The double-Grammy winner and prodigious songwriter was helped in her new effort by acclaimed singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco, who produced and played on the track "Searching For America." Ian broke onto the scene when she was 14 years old with her hit "Society's Child" and subsequently penned hits for the likes of Roberta Flack, Amy Grant, Bette Midler, Nanci Griffith and John Mellencamp.
