Despite Chris Brann's busy recording schedule (in addition to Ananda Project, he also makes music under the names P'taah, Wamdue Project and Wamdue Kidz), Morning Light shows no signs of fatigue. The album is a worthy successor to 2000's Release, ushering in Brann's trademark, quality, deep-house grooves. "I Hear You Dreaming" drips in like a gentle summer rain as the heavenly vocals of Heather Johnson coast across its Latin-tinged beat. Johnson joins Brann again on the soulful "Kiss Kiss Kiss," a more emotive dance number, driven by a somber piano refrain. Later, "Secrets" another heartfelt, melodic track, echoes Robert Miles' hit "Children" as the quiet refrain of Marta Gazman urges the songs progress. Morning Light's pristine productions and warm, house moods will keep this record playing in living rooms as well as clubs.
