Your Turn
Review 1 of 1

Roses & Clover, the latest mainstream release by ALO, will be, for some, their greatest work, and for others, the most disagreeable. The album starts with their new single "Maria," and climaxes around its eighth song, "All Alone." Every song is a priceless gem; however, some will be shocked that the CD totals only slightly more than forty-five minutes. Some will obviously be taken aback, especially since this so drastically seems to double back on ALO's style - jams are cut short or nonexistent. However, since each song is so unbelievably beautiful that I cannot bring myself to give it less than five stars, and so I will not. If you are a fan of the Jack Johnson, Jimmy Buffet vane of organic soft rock, this will come as a natural addition to your library. In the past five days (I got it the first day it came out), I have listened the CD through at least eight times, and am not likely to stop soon.
