Alejandro Sanz pulled in a trio of nominations for the 2002 Latin Grammy Awards for his MTV Unplugged album, including three of the event's highest honors: Record of the Year and Song of the Year (for "Y Solo Se Me Ocurre Amarte") and Album of the Year (for MTV Unplugged). The singer-songwriter, who is Spain's best-selling artist of all-time, has already earned four Latin Grammys.

Both Celia Cruz and Carlos Vives received nods in the Record of the Year category (for "La Negra Tiene Tumbao" and "Dejame Entrar," respectively) and Album of the Year (for La Negra Tiene Tumbao and Dejame Entrar) giving them four nods apiece.

Both Marc Anthony and Paulina Rubio, who have found success on the American pop charts earned one nomination each. Rubio's "Yo No Soy Esa Mujer" was nominated for Music Video of the Year, while Anthony's most recent Spanish-language release, last year's Libre, was nominated for Best Salsa Album.

The third annual Latin Grammys will be held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on September 18th.
