Posted Mar 07, 2001 12:00 AM

Paul Simon and Elton John are among the artists who have signed on to perform at An All-Star Tribute to Brian Wilson, the latest in a series of Turner Network Television tributes to American musical legends.

Heart, Aimee Mann, Michael Penn and Matthew Sweet will also play, as will Wilson himself, at the March 29th event at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. Dennis Hopper and Sir George Martin will present "special segments" of the program, which will also include a performance of the Beach Boys' classic album, Pet Sounds, in its entirety.

The TNT Master Series began with Burt Bacharach: One Amazing Night in 1998, followed by An All-Star Tribute to Johnny Cash (1999), An All-Star Tribute to Bob Marley (1999) and An All-Star Tribute to Joni Mitchell (2000).

Additional performers will be announced before the event. The program will be taped and broadcast this summer. Tickets for the event, which range from $53 to $178, go on sale March 12th through Ticketmaster.
