The season's second episode, titled "College Kids," will be a re-creation of Rock the Vote's annual Patrick Lippert Awards. West Wing press secretary C.J. Cregg (Allison Janney) will speak before a group of college-age attendees "about the importance of youth empowerment and civic and political engagement," according to a statement, at the faux event hosted by the House of Blues. "We hope this is just the beginning of any number of things we can do together," West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin said.
The West Wing launched its fourth season last Wednesday, and also took home another handful of Emmy Awards last week, including its third consecutive win for Outstanding Drama.
Rock the Vote, now in its twelfth year, was initiated to educate young voters about First Amendment issues. The organization teamed with Russell Simmons and the NAACP earlier this year to create Rap the Vote, and more recently launched Rock the Vote a lo Latino.
"College Kids" airs at 8 p.m. ET.
