(LOS ANGELES) - Jon Brion, who produced, performed, and co-wrote material on Aimee Mann's two solo albums and was once a member of Epic trio the Grays, has signed with Lava/Atlantic. He has also guested on hit albums by Fiona Apple and the Wallflowers. For the past year, Brion has been holding down a Friday residency at Cafe Largo in Los Angeles, where he has been joined onstage by R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Elvis Costello, and Grant Lee Buffalo.
