Album Reviews
"You Got Me Humpin'," "My Up and Down," "Horny for Your Love" Adina Howard has but one thing on her mind. With this assured debut, she proves that the itch she loves to scratch is inspiration enough for one tough set. Both snarling and purring, Howard has the voice for sex rap. Better yet, she can sing like gangbusters (check the lush coda to "You Can Be My Nigga"). Loping East Coast beats greased by sinuous Prince-knockoff keyboards lend her momentum, and the title track in particular is sweet, sassy entertainment. Being bad has seldom sounded so good. (RS 708)
