Album Reviews
This Warren Zevon tribute is faithful not just to the late songsmith's tunes but also to his arrangements and inflections, often with eerie and impersonal results. Jordan Zevon has a right to sing like his dad, but what's the point of Adam Sandler's impersonation throughout "Werewolves of London"? Bruce Springsteen's and Bob Dylan's live renditions of "My Ride's Here" and "Mutineer" overshadow most studio tracks with casual yet particular grace.
