In chart news, Puff Daddy's No Way Out reclaimed the No. 1 spot with weekly sales of 228,000, pushing Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's The Art of War down to the second position.|

Despite poor reviews by Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone, 311's Transistor debuted at No. 4 with first week sales of 128,500. The group's previous self-titled project only reached No. 12 on Billboard, but went on to sell more than 2.2 million copies.

Opening in the seventh position was the hip hop soundtrack to Def Jam's How To Be A Player, selling close to 106,000 albums. (AB)
