Your Turn
Review 1 of 1
Pishtaco writes:
In terms of 311's sound, this was as different as Transistor. Evolver is 311's closest to being termed purely alternative rock. Upbeat tracks like Creatures, Other Side, Reconsider Everything really capture 311's energy. The guitar in Still Dreaming is magical. The album also covers some very deep tracks, like Beyond the Gray Sky, which is about a suicide of Nick's high school friend. The best song, Sometimes Jacks Rule the Realm take one a journey 311 has never taken the listener. To truly respect 311's brillant song-writing, this may not be a good first album for newcomers, but is a great direction for the band. Nowadays, it belongs as one of 311's best to fans.
